Why do we consciously avoid parabens, silicone and sulfates in our shampoo?

There is an endless list of hair shampoos available in the market which can make things rather overwhelming for you as a consumer. All the shampoos claim to be amazing for your hair, but are they really as great as they claim to be? The ingredient list at the back of the product can answer that question for you.

What are silicones, sulfates and parabens?

Sulfates

To put it simply, sulfates help create a lather to cleanse your hair. If you have a shampoo that lathers tremendously by just adding a little bit of water, then chances are, it has sulfates in it.

Sulfates can be pretty harsh and strip your hair of natural oils, making them brittle, dry and damaged. It can also cause scalp issues like dryness, itching, and irritation. While you want to maintain a clean scalp, you also want to nourish your hair from within and hydrate them. This is why we avoid adding sulfates and go for naturally hydrating ingredients.

Parabens

While parabens may be good preservatives, they are still not worth all the side effects and health problems that they can cause. As consumers become more and more aware of the harmful effects of parabens, companies are now manufacturing paraben-free shampoos by either using alternatives or developing preservative-free products with a shorter shelf life.

We create our products with natural preservatives, ensuring only the best reaches you. Our shampoos and other personal care products are made in small batches, based on the order quantity and shipped as early as possible. We believe that fresh is better!

Silicones

Silicones are used in shampoos to give you hair a luxuriously conditioned feeling. They can make your dry and damaged hair look completely healthy by filling the porosity of your hair. they form a thin hydrophobic (Waterproof) coasting around your hairs to protect it from moisture loss and other damage

So, why do we not use it? Because it only makes your hair feel healthy, it doesn't really make your hair healthy. WIth Silicones, you get an illusion of shine in your hair only for a few days. Repeated use of hair products with silicone can weigh your hair down and make it lifeless.

Make a conscious choice

To make sure your hair stays healthy for a long, long time, it’s best to use a sulfate and paraben free shampoo with a high-performance formulation.
