Rasa means flavourful and the name is derived from that. The grains of this variety are very small and round. It is normally cultivated during Navarai(Dec-Mar). It is ideal for making South Indian meals. It is originated from Tamil Nadu which has Medium GI.

Soak for 3-4 hours and cook in 2 cups of water per cup of rice.
Best for pongal and alternate for table rice.
