1.Soak the rice for 3-4 hours
2.In a pan, add 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil. Now add Bay leaves, cardamom, soaked rice.
3.Add in milk, cashews and give a nice stir and let it cook on medium flame. Keep stirring to avoid the milk sticking to the pan.
4.Once the milk reduces by 75% and the rice breaks easily, then add sugar and give a nice stir.
We like to have it chill and adding a dollop of coconut milk adds a nice flavour.
